In honor of National Poetry Writing Month, Women Writing for (a) Change is partnering with the FAR Center for Contemporary Arts for an evening of creative writing in response to Benjamin Rassmusen’s exhibition, The Good Citizen. We will spend time in the gallery space letting the artwork lead us and our writing to new places. We will explore what Rassmussen’s photographs bring up for us about “the complicated nature of American identity.”

Using the practices of Women Writing, we will create a space to listen and learn from one another. In this facilitated circle, we will have time to write and time to share our writing in large and small groups. This workshop is open to people of all genders and to writers of all types and experience levels. Join us as we explore the intersection of our lives and our writing with the visual prompts of Rassmusen’s photographs.
