A book release event will be held on the Summer Solstice, Friday, June 21 from 7 :00 - 8:30 PM at FAR. The public is invited.

Any Summer Sunday at Nacho Mama’s Patio Cafe : Drag, Songs, Friends, Laughs, Lies, Danger & Redemption, is Bloomington author Steve Schatz’s third novel. Set in “Magawatta, Indiana” a small college town, in the town’s only gay bar, Any Summer Sunday follows the travails of a group of friends who gather every Sunday.

When their friend TiaRa announces she has found love online is is leaving to be with her new man, the friends are faced with the question - how far will you go to save a friend from her own desires? Funny, touching, and thought proving, Any Summer Sunday celebrates gay life in small towns in 2007, when the bar was still the safe, social center of the world. The book release will feature a reading of selected passages, author talk back, and book signing. Print and audio versions of Any Summer Sunday as well as I <3 A.S.S. stickers will be available.
