Pictura Gallery is pleased to present Rania Matar’s series, SHE, which looks at young women coming of age in the US and in Lebanon. Matar is a Lebanese-born, American/Palestinian artist. She has dedicated her work to exploring issues of personal and collective identity, through photographs of female adolescence and womanhood. Matar’s portraits capture the lives of young women who persist in uncertain times.

In addition to the exhibition in Pictura, the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art will exhibit 50 Years Later - Where Do I Go? forefronting the creativity, strength, and dignity of young women in Lebanon, particularly around the 50 year anniversary of the Lebanese Civil War.
