Writing Motherhood: The Braided Essay

Writing Motherhood is a class for writers of all levels who are interested in preserving and processing their experiences as mothers through narrative essay.
This two-hour workshop will focus on weaving together memories and metaphor through the format of a braided essay. Writers will leave with a list of future writing ideas, 100-200 words of personal narrative, and encouragement and guidance for beginning a regular writing routine. Whether you are an expectant mother, or have decades of experience, you are welcome here.
About the Instructor
Adrienne Garrison is a writer and educator living in Bloomington, Indiana with her husband and their three little ones. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Pacific University and her short stories have been published in Literary Mama and LETTERS Journal. Her essays have appeared in Coffee + Crumbs, where she is a contributing writer, and New Millennium Writings.
