Join artist Emily Wilson Gillespie for a festive workshop in beginner watercolor painting and stamping - wine included!

About this event:

Over two hours, attendees will learn watercolor painting basics and techniques. Local shop Griffy’s Art Supply will provide watercolor cards and their own handmade paints for each attendee to take home! Attendees will also have the chance to learn about motif and pattern while stamping sustainable brown paper gift wrap. All attendees will leave with original hand-painted cards, a sheet of their pattern-stamped gift wrap, and the basics to continue painting. Each ticket includes light snacks and two glasses of red or white wine.

*Must be age 21+ to take workshop. IDs will be checked at door.*

About the instructor:

Emily Wilson Gillespie is a visual artist working and living in Bloomington, IN. She received her BA in Studio Art from DePauw University and her MA in Arts Administration from Indiana University. In 2014, Emily completed the Efroymson Arts Fellowship and in 2018 she was awarded an Individual Advancement Program Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission. Her current work explores the relationship between landscape and environmentalism through the use of dried native plants and dyes.
