Join Bloomington artist and educator Emily Wilson Gillespie for an adult beginners watercolor workshop at the FAR.

About this event:

Over the course of two hours attendees will learn the basics of watercolor painting and technique while creating their own botanical watercolor study of local, seasonal flowers. All materials will be provided and include a hand-crafted watercolor kit from Griffy's Art Supply. The flowers will be provided by local Three Flock Farm and The Plant Truck.

Masks are required and registration is capped at 10. Ages 16+.

About the instructor:

Emily Wilson Gillespie is a visual artist working and living in Bloomington, IN. She received her BA in Studio Art from DePauw University and her MA in Arts Administration from Indiana University. In 2014, Emily completed the Efroymson Arts Fellowship and in 2018 she was awarded an Individual Advancement Program Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission. Her current work explores the relationship between landscape and environmentalism through the use of dried native plants and dyes.
